What we store

Your account. Email address, name if you give one, a hashed password, and if you turn on two-factor, the authenticator secret and hashed recovery codes. We never store a password or a recovery code in readable form.

Your drafts. The text you paste in, the rewritten text, the score, and the fact report are stored on your account so you can come back to them. They stay until you delete the job. They are never used to train anything, never shared with other users, and never read by a person at Mako Logics unless you ask us to look at a specific job.

Page views. We count visits ourselves. Each record holds the page, the referring site, your browser type, and the first three parts of your IP address. The last part is dropped before it is written. We do not use advertising trackers.

Errors. When something breaks we record what broke, where, and the same partial address. Messages are scrubbed of anything shaped like a key or password before they are saved.

An audit log. Account security changes and administrator actions are logged with who did them and when. The log records that a password changed, never the password.

Who else touches your data

Your draft text is sent to Fireworks AI, a San Francisco company, which runs the open-weight model that does the rewriting. Fireworks does not train on customer text. The database and file storage run on Supabase in the United States. The site is served by Vercel. Email such as password resets and invites goes out through Cloudflare, which also serves the site's DNS. Sign-in and reset forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out. None of these companies are given your data for any other purpose.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not profile visitors. We do not send marketing email. We do not use cookies for anything except keeping you signed in.

Deleting your data

Delete a job and its text is gone. To delete your whole account, email rsailors@makologics.com from the address on the account and it is removed within a few days, along with every job on it. Audit log entries and error records keep only the email address, so the record of what happened survives the account.

California residents

You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it deleted, and to not be discriminated against for asking. Email rsailors@makologics.com and we will answer within 45 days. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act.
